María López, one of the captains of the Spanish women's national team, was the master of ceremonies in the city where she was born.
In "La Laboral", the international player gave an intensive class with U-14 and U-16 players, which served as a promotional act for the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Spain & Netherlands 2022.
An event where the weather helped the attendees to enjoy the teachings given by the player from Gijón, where tactical and technical exercises were mixed with different games and contests.
López had the invaluable help of Rocío Viña, Sara Arroni, Estela García, Diana Geijo, Brigitte Mairana, Lucia Fuertes, Patricia Domingo, Mónica Rivera and Adrián Gavela in the development of all the activities carried out.
The institutions also wanted to accompany those present with the presence of Ramón Tuero, Councilor for Sports of the Gijón City Council, and also councilors Ana Menéndez, Ángela Pumariega and Jesús Martínez.
The next stop of the "Redsticks On Tour" will be in San Sebastián this Saturday, April 9, with the presence of the international player Maialen Garcia. Next Monday, the 11th, Gigi Oliva will visit Terrassa, and on the 25th of this month a large group of players will do a double clinic in Madrid. Already on May 2, Bea Pérez and Patri Álvarez will do the same in their native Santander.
