Terrassa hockey joins in the promotion of the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Terrassa 2022

The meeting served to consolidate the support of clubs in the World Cup

Les Pedritxes has been the scene of a meeting between Terrassa City Council, the Real Federación Española de Hockey, the Catalan Hockey Federation, Terrassa Hockey CD, the Atlètic Terrassa, the Club Egara and Line 22, where different issues have been addressed around development of the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup 2022.

An appointment in which there were present Isaac Albert, Deputy Mayor of the City Council of Terrassa; accompanied by Carles Sánchez, head of the Sports Area, and Laura Roca, technician of Sports Activities, also representing the city council; Santiago Deó, president of the RFEH; Xavier Adell, president of the FCH; Francesc Salvatella, president of Hockey for Terrassa; Pere Marcet, president of Club Egara; Francesc Aribau, vice president of Line 22, and Óscar Gallego, Executive Director of the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup 2022.

During the meeting, the support of the clubs has been consolidated, mainly in the promotion of the World Championship and in the recruitment of volunteers. In the same way, they will also be part of the organization with their active commitment to carrying out parallel activities and the contribution of human capital to important places in management and organization tasks.

On the other hand, the facilities of these four sports entities will be the headquarters where the different participating teams will train during the preparation of the matches to be played in the World Cup.

The meeting showed the unconditional support shown by both the City Council of Terrassa and the different clubs of this Catalan city in a competition that will be played from 1 to 17 July of next year.

At the end of the meeting all the parties selected new dates to meet again and continue to advance in the face of an event that continues to advance before it’s started.
