Between July 4 and 7, the Estadi MartÝ Colomer, just 100 meters from the Estadi OlÝmpic de Terrassa, will host the International Parahockey Clubs Tournament, coinciding with the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Spain & Netherlands 2022.
30 teams and 300 players will live a unique experience, playing in parallel to the most important hockey competition this year on the entire planet. Divided into three categories, Championship, Trophy and Challenge, these teams made up of people with intellectual disabilities will play four days of hockey and will also be able to enjoy some of the World Cup matches. The Martí Colomer pitch is very close to the Estadi Olímpic and its Fanzone, where the big World Cup matches will take place.
This is the most inclusive activity that can be experienced during the celebration of the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup in Terrassa, in a category of this sport that is increasingly rooted in our country. Hockey+ has leagues organized by both the Royal Spanish Hockey Federation, at the state level, and the Catalan Federation, at the Catalan level. In the same way, there are more and more clubs that have Hockey+ teams throughout the national territory.
In the Hockey+ category, the teams play in two teams of six starters, plus 4 on the bench, on a smaller pitch than the usual field hockey pitch. The winning team is decided in two periods of 12 minutes after which, if there is a tie, the winner can be decided in a series of 10-second shoot-outs.
The participating teams will stay in the university area of ??Bellaterra, just 20 minutes from the stadium area where they will play their matches, and there will be transport between the residence and Terrassa at the beginning and end of each day, as well as transfers included to the Barcelona airport.
The deadline for team registration is April 30, and can be done by contacting email@example.com.
